Efficient and heritable gene editing through CRISPR-Cas9 in Pisum sativum

Published in Plant Biotechnology Journal, 2025

We developed an embryonic axis transformation and gene-editing protocol for pea (Pisum sativum), with very high editing efficiency. The most important parts of this protocol are the grafting (quick, with no root regeneration in vitro) and the use of DsRed (better than antibiotics for unevenly transformed plants).

Propionic acid-related inhibition during anaerobic digestion: Insights into methane production and microbial community responses

Published in Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, 2026

I designed the protocol for testing inhibition by propionic acid in lab-scale anaerobic digesters, performed the DNA extractions for sequencing, and carried out qPCR (relative quantification) and 16S rRNA data analysis for this publication.
